I want to introduce myself to you all and give you a brief background of who I am and how I got started. First off, I am 26 years old growing up and residing in a small town in Maryland.
It all started when I was about 15 years old in high school. I had major issues with my body image and how I perceived myself. I struggled for years without seeking help and when the issue was addressed, I was diagnosed with anorexia in 2011. With the help and support of family, my boyfriend, and close friends I slowly made progress in gaining weight and confidence in my body again. However, with having this disorder I am still critical on my body, but my perception has changed.
I wanted to be strong, healthy, and confident of my body and of myself. So I changed my perception and focused on doing just that, and like everyone, I am still a “work in progress” on my fitness journey.
I learned so many aspects of the benefits of exercise and nutrition while receiving my education and I want to help others achieve the success and confidence that every girl should have! No matter where you are in your journey, or if you are just beginning, I want to guide you to success.
